Environmental Action 2009

Environmental Action 2009 is an opportunity for activists from across Southern New England to come together for a day of networking, skills training, and inspiration. Bringing together over 100 organizations from the region and hosting over 25 workshops, the conference offers a unique chance for activists working on a range of different issues to learn valuable skills, share notes and experiences, and find out more about crucial environmental issues facing the region.

Toxics Action Center

Since 1987, Toxics Action Center has helped more than 575 community groups across New England prevent and clean up toxic pollution. We work on a variety of issues, including cleaning up hazardous waste sites, stopping proposed landfills and incinerators, preventing the spraying of pesticides, pressuring companies to reduce their toxic chemical use, and other issues that threaten the health and safety of residents, neighborhoods, and the environment. We have offices in all six New England states. This is Toxics Action Center’s 22nd annual citizen’s conference in Massachusetts. Contact us at www.toxicsaction.org or 617-292-4821

Environment Massachusetts

We all want clean air, clean water, and open spaces. But it takes independent research and tough-minded advocacy to win concrete results for our environment, especially when powerful interests stand in the way of environmental progress. That’s the idea behind Environment Massachusetts. We focus on protecting Massachusetts’ air, water, and open spaces. We speak out and take action at the local, state, and national levels to improve the quality of our environment and our lives. Contact us at 617-747-4400 or www.environmentmassachusetts.org.
