In March 2012, Toxics Action Center will be celebrating its 25th year of providing organizing assistance to communities that are threatened by toxic pollution. As part of the celebration, Toxics Action Center will use the opportunity to raise awareness of the organization and our work across New England, though a program of events, media outreach, and social/new media campaigns.
Toxics Action Center is currently looking for an intern to assist developing materials related to our 25th Anniversary, and who wants to gain experience in media outreach, planning, social networking.
Responsibilities

Help to write and upload content for Toxics Action Center’s 25th Anniversary website, which will highlight 25 years of victories around New England

Conduct research and execute a regional media plan

Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive social networking plan

Assist in the planning and execution of the 25th annual citizens conference

Hold regular office hours and planning meetings with staff
